Operation Opera was a brilliant and daring 1981 bombing raid on the Iraqi nuclear reactor at Osirak carried out by the IAF. It is regarded as one of the IAF\u2019s most successful missions and is well regarded globally. Train to fly all stages of this mission to ensure a safe return home.<\/p>\n
Take part in the preparation stages of this mission, like even acquiring Iraqi money. Then take off from Etzion base in the Sinai on a training run, which includes low level navigation over the deserts of Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The Squadron staff will make sure that you have the tools necessary to successfully complete the coming mission on your own.<\/p>\n
Once ready, you will embark on the exact route that the actual Israeli pilots took. Your mission, like those pilots\u2019, is to navigate to and destroy the Osirak nuclear reactor. Your mission is not complete until you have safely made it back to Israel.<\/p>\n
